Needs Assessment/Gap Analysis
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments.
- Utilize a variety of techniques to collect information including, questionnaires, interviews, review of existing plans, policies and procedures and focus groups.
- Assess current situation including agency/organizational goals, climate, and internal and external constraints to developing Emergency Operations Plans.
- Assess the need for changes in existing plans including critical tasks necessary for the successful execution of response operations.
- Define the causes of gaps in plans and create a list of improvements and recommendations for integration into the Emergency Operations Plan.
- Identify problems or deficits in response and prioritize opportunities for improvement.
- Identify necessary training and education opportunities
