Our Team

Andrew R. Lazarchick currently serves on Active Duty as Commander of the Recruiting and Retention Battalion of the New Jersey Army National Guard. During the course of his 18 year career Major Lazarchick served in a multitude of positions including Tactical Intelligence Officer, Intelligence Officer, Training Officer, Safety Officer, Operations Security Officer, Security Manager, Operations Officer, as well as a series of command and primary staff billets. Early in his career, Andrew also completed a five year tour with the New Jersey Army National Guard Counterdrug Task Force assigned to United States Customs, Port Elizabeth, New Jersey, and the Newark Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Academic Experience

While serving on Active Duty, Mr. Lazarchick is also a member of the part time adjunct faculty at Ocean County College in Toms River, New Jersey, where he teaches in the Homeland Security Department. In this capacity he has also authored a number of courses for purposes of maintaining currency in the curriculum.

Operational Experience

Federal

Mr. Lazarchick is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) where he deployed with the 1-150th Assault Helicopter Battalion in Lakehurst, New Jersey.

State

As a National Guardsman, Mr. Lazarchick has also served the citizens of New Jersey during the 9/11 terrorist attacks and multiple natural disasters including but not limited to Hurricanes Isabel and Irene and most recently, Superstorm Sandy.

Education

Military

Major Lazarchick is a graduate of the Military Intelligence Officer Basic Course, Military Intelligence Captains Career Course, Ordnance Captains Career Course, Quartermaster Captains Career Course, Combined Arms Services Staff School, Intermediate Level Education Common Core and Advanced Operations Course, and the U.S. Army War College Defense Strategy Course. MAJ Lazarchick is a branch qualified Multifunctional Logistician (90A) and wears the Logistics Branch insignia.

Civilian

Mr. Lazarchick holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration from Kean University, Summa cum laude, a Master of Science in Management (MSM) from Thomas Edison State College, a Master of Administrative Science (MAS) in Homeland Security from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and is currently a Doctoral Candidate (Educational Leadership) at Walden University.

Certifications

His applicable certifications include Operations Security (OPSEC), Safety, Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection, Total Army Instructor, Online Instructor, FEMA Incident Command and Emergency Response (dual state and federal missions), and graduate certificates in Global Security and Terrorism Studies and Emergency Management and Administration.

Andrew and his wife blissfully reside at the Jersey Shore.
