Our Team

James R Barbieri has spent more than 35 years in the financial services industry spanning three states, including twelve years as a bank president, CEO and director.

Banking Experience

In 1997 he co-founded a de novo Community Bank and in 2008 established a specialty niche immigrant small business Community Bank. Over the past three decades, Mr. Barbieri has developed superior strategic business and market analysis skills, networking and management skills, and has extensive board relations, governance and compliance, strategic planning, and operations experience. Additionally, Mr Barbieri has extensive experience in providing leadership and developing business interruption and banking disaster recovery plan.

International Consulting

He founded and is Principal of global consulting firm focused on bank and business advisory, global remittance funds transfer, project finance, and strategic alliances in Cape Verde, Ghana, Kenya and other Africa countries. He has traveled throughout five continents exploring the culture and business environment of over 30 countries developing creative solutions associated with professional advisory services, Diaspora remittances-funds transfer, strategic thinking, planning, and project finance.

Education

Mr. Barbieri has a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the State University of New York at Binghamton, a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from the State University of New York in Albany, and Banking degrees from the American Bankers Association (ABA) Stonier Graduate School of Banking and the ABA Management School for Corporate Bankers.

Non-Profit Experience

Mr. Barbieri also has extensive non-profit board experience serving in key leadership roles, on many prominent community service organizations over the past four decades, including the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary International, Boy Scouts of America, United Way, the local Hospital Foundation, and Youth Sports.

Personal

Mr Barbieri and his wife reside in the Boston suburbs and have 2 sons.
